Born in Yokohama, raised in Kamakura. I am a descendant of pirates of the Iyo and Murakami Navies. After being employed at a prestigious foreign bank and working in the automotive industry, in my thirties, I entered the world of narration and radio. A permeating, deep, gentle voice and a powerful voice that emanates from my large body are my weapons. “Aflo” was my radio nickname (the origin of which can be found somewhere in this website). In certain familiar TV commercials that star well-known actors, you will find some of my wonderfully strange performances. My lifework is venturing out to the various regions of Japan and countries around Asia. Using a midlife crisis and "one’s own way" as my guides, I am a travelling contractor who writes of journeys and captures stories with the click of my shutter. I am a Kikizakeshi (Japanese Sake Master), passionate about Asian and Japanese culture, autos and fishing.
