I probably should not have seen the scary movie, “Metro Manila.”

Having boarded the wrong train, it was literally chaos in downtown “Metro Manila.”

It was even written in a book that one “should not venture into the neighborhood at night.”

Picking up on the essence of danger in every corner, I walk the streets at night, experiencing excitement, and what feels very much like Manila.

I lack the language, the destination and the boarding methods needed to ride the Jeepneys.

So I walk. The more I walk, the more dangerous the streets look. …This is not good.
